Actions - WALKTALKPERFORMANCE
Perform your walk!
During the WalkTalkPerformance the particpants invite each other to short performativ interventions.
Does the physical action fit in in both cities?
How does the performativ interventiion relate to the different urban contexts?
It is obviuos: "We like to shake things up!“ (M.Lazar)
Two people. Two cities. Twin cities 4333 km apart. What are twin cities? How “twin” is “twin”? Can they follow the same path? Are they faced with similar obstacles? Are the atmospheres the same? These are some of the questions we set out to examine in our first performative walk-talk experiment. Equipped with cell phones and with GoPros strapped to our heads, we tried to follow similar routes, with one giving instructions to the other, while doing the same movements. “Turn right. Walk 10 meters. Turn left.” Walking through the city is a functional practice to bring us from point A to point B. Can we have a different experience by handing control of movement over to somebody else in a different city?
